Welcoming guests for generations
First records of the Schütterbad date back to as early as 1500. The "Wildpat", as it was known then, was renowned far and wide, being visited by spiritual leaders, government officials and the region's nobility, all of whom were looking to treat their gout problems. Still preserved in good condition is a guestbook with early records from 1813 - just one testament to how greatly the Schütterbad has been appreciated by its guests over the years.
Through a series of on-going renovations, the Landhotel Schütterbad developed into the modern lodging establishment we know and love today.
